Chef Pamela Stevens
My passion for cooking started with my childhood, I was always in the kitchen and in local markets. I have always loved finding new techniques and flavors, mixing my Italian and Peruvian roots with my new home in West Virginia.
I lived in Italy where I learned different techniques and recipes from many different regions. I graduated with honors from Pierpont Community and Technical College and am certified by the ACF in Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry. I had the opportunity to represent my school in the Cast Iron Cook Off in 2013 and won for both the Grand Champion and the Best Menu.
After graduating from school, I joined Mia Margherita as the Chef de Cuisine. To me cooking is an art form, it is an art that demands hard work, respect, passion and dedication. The reward for the hard work comes with the expression of satisfaction on our guests faces. For a chef there is nothing better than making people happy.
