Chef Joe Vessecchia’s interest in food began at an early age. He started by working in the family’s wholesale produce business that was started in 1929 by his great grandfather.

Chef Joe Vessecchia’s interest in food began at an early age. He started by working in the family’s wholesale produce business that was started in 1929 by his great grandfather. As a result of being exposed to fresh fruits and vegetables on a daily basis, his love for fresh ingredients and passion for food was born. Chef Vessecchia began his culinary adventure while attending West Virginia University. He worked in many Morgantown area restaurants and in 2003 began working for the Waterfront Place Hotel. While at the Hotel, he gained experience and quickly moved up to Sous Chef, and then to Chef de Cuisine of the Regatta Bar and Grille. After 6 years he was promoted to Executive Chef.

Today Chef Vessecchia is part of the Bridgeport Conference Center and Charles Pointe Hospitality Team as the Food and Beverage Operations Manager and Executive Chef. His style emphasizes the importance of preparing food that people are excited to eat, while using the freshest items available.
